A community-powered Beauty & Wellness Product Swap: a fun, sustainable way to clear out your bathroom cabinet, discover new treasures, and connect with neighbors! The idea is that folks will bring gently used or unopened beauty and wellness items they no longer use, and swap them for something that is “new-to-you”.

Join Climate Classes, DC Goodwill, & DOEE for our first ever Spa Swap at Right Proper Brewery in Shaw on September 17th from 6-8pm!

Things that can be swapped:

• New and unopened items
  • Sample items
  • Beauty products (makeup, lotions, serums, oils, soaps, shampoos, etc)
  • Wellness items (guasha, facemasks, massage oils, etc)
  • Period products (new/individually wrapped items. I.e. some boxes have different size tampons that may not work for you, but someone else might use them)
  • Toiletries: wipes, toothpaste, floss, toothbrush, etc

• Opened or Lightly Used items
  • Items that come in a squeezable tube, spray bottle, bottle with a pump
  • Individually packaged items that you may have tried out and didn’t end up liking
  • Candles, incense, or essential oils
  • Headbands, clips, hair ties, bows, or other items that can be reusable (nothing worn out, stained, or torn)
  • Perfume or body mist
  • Clean/washed: Robes, eye masks, sleep masks, PJ sets (not old T-shirts that you use as PJs)
  • Travel items (refillable)
  • Toiletry bags/pouches

Things that we don’t want to be swapped:

• Used items that you can put your fingers into, like cream jars, or serums with droppers that might have touched bare skin.
• Used lipsticks, lip gloss, chapstick, or any kind of cosmetic stick.
• Nailpolish

We need to keep everything sanitary, so if you wouldn’t want it used, please don’t bring it.
